What to bring

Keeping a few things ready makes the consultation smoother and helps Dr. Song assess safety properly. Medical details matter because medications, allergies and recent treatments can influence which options are suitable and how they are performed. Please bring the following where possible.

  • Photo identification, such as your passport
  • A list of current medications and supplements
  • Any allergies or past reactions to medicines, anesthetics or products
  • Photos or notes about previous aesthetic treatments and their dates
  • Your departure date if you are visiting Seoul
  • Your usual skincare products' names, if you are unsure about ingredients

Step one: Needs Mapping

Your visit begins with an assessment. A skin analysis device helps evaluate factors such as tone and texture, and then you meet Dr. Song in a private consultation room. She studies your facial anatomy and expression muscles, looking at your face both at rest and when you smile. She also considers bone structure and skin thickness, since these affect which treatments are suitable and how they should be performed. This is a good moment to explain, in your own words, what bothers you and what you would like to keep. The consultation is in English, so feel free to ask as many questions as you need.

Step two: your Curated Plan

Based on the assessment, Dr. Song designs a personalized plan. She explains which treatments she suggests, why, what they typically involve, expected recovery and realistic outcomes. She may also advise against something you asked about if it does not suit your face or timing. Our philosophy is to suggest only the changes you need, planned with an eye to how your face will age over the next ten years. You are never obliged to proceed on the same day. Take time to decide if you prefer.

Step three: Tailored Treatment

If you decide to go ahead and time allows, treatment takes place in a one-to-one treatment room. Dr. Song personally places each shot of energy and each unit of Botox, rather than handing the work to others. Afterwards, you receive aftercare guidance specific to your treatment, typically including sun protection and briefly avoiding heat, alcohol and strenuous exercise. Before leaving our Apgujeong clinic, make sure you know how to reach us on WhatsApp in case questions come up later.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

Often it is possible, depending on the treatment, your suitability and the schedule that day. If you are visiting Seoul for a short time, mention this when booking so we can plan accordingly.

Should I come without makeup?

Arriving with minimal or no makeup makes skin analysis and assessment easier, because the device and the doctor can see your skin as it really is. If that is not practical, ask us on WhatsApp what would suit your appointment.

How long does the first visit take?

It varies depending on whether you have consultation only or also receive treatment. Ask us on WhatsApp for a rough idea based on what you plan to discuss, and allow extra time in your schedule.

Can I bring a friend or partner?

Please ask us on WhatsApp in advance so we can advise on space in the consultation room on your day. Some people find it helpful to have a companion hear the explanation, especially when deciding on a plan together.

What if I decide not to have treatment?

That is completely fine. The consultation is there to help you understand your options, not to pressure you. You can take time to think it over and contact us later on WhatsApp, even after you have left Seoul.
